Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty, born November 1, 1995 was raised in Berkeley, California. She is an actress known for Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022).

Asia Argento, born in Rome into a family that includes actors and directors, pursued these professions as well. When she made her debut, she was only nine years aged in Sergio Citti's film Sogni e bisogni In 1988 she had the leading role in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo, and was part of the cast of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon was the subsequent year's film, in which Asia as Nanni's child. Close Friends was written by Michele Placido and was directed by her. This movie received a positive response at the Cannes International Film Festival. She worked with her father for the the first time Trauma an award-winning film by Italian horror filmmaker Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is the most adored actress of Argento, as she portrayed an orexic seeking to locate her parents' killer. Asia was a part of Dario's The Phantom of the Opera, the third film she directed alongside her dad. Other films were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. The actress co-starred alongside Carlo Verdone in Perdiamoci di vista as Arianna an actress who is physically disabled. The intricate and challenging role won her a David di Donatello Award for the Best actress. In 1995 she co-starred with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again won her a David di Donatello as well as an award of Grolla d'oro. Asia took up directing as a career in 1994. She produced two shorts and one of which was De Generazione. The following year, in 1996, Asia made a document on her father. And, finally, 1998 was the year that Asia produced a feature film about Abel Ferrara (AbelAsia), that was awarded an award by the Rome Film Festival. Asia produced her debut feature in Scarlet Diva (1999), where she was both the actress leading the film and the author of its screenplay. The film was released in May 2000 across Italy as well as around the world. It won an award in the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
