Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She competes currently within the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC other fighter, is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started in the form of a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to follow it up, and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in 2003. She took home the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She was victorious via TKO in round 2. Her following two matches were staged in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing as she took a prolonged absence from MMA. She returned in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She then went on to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her striking skills that were superior during the clinch final round by using knees on the body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina bounced off the loss and fought Lucie Prudilova's fight in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke. This was by far the most exciting fight of night for this fight. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 in her three subsequent matches she won over Ariane Lipski while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
