Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn was born in the United States and has worked professionally for 27 years. Gifted thespian, she is working in the world of professional acting since the past 27. She first made an appearance on stage during an off-Broadway production called The Big Funk by John Patrick Shanley in the year 1990. The show was later adapted to her first role on television, The Perfect Tribute. When she was a supporting role in the movie the film Basic Instinct, her career took off. It was in The Firm however that she was cast as the female lead for the first time, and this was also against famous actors such as Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Through the 1990s she collaborated alongside some of the most renowned actors in the business, including Gwyneth Paltrow as Sliding Doors Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. Recently she played Dr Alex Blake in the internationally popular police procedural crime drama Criminal Minds.
