Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her career by playing support roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). On the FX series Dirt in which she was Willa McPherson, reporter. She also appeared in the supporting role in the show that ran for a short time, The Ex List. She starred as a young Moira O'Hara during the initial season of FX's American Horror Story, and as Kaylee in the third season. She was Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voices a number of characters from the animated comedy show Family Guy. Since 2019, she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe as a character in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien, Connecticut until she was 10 when her mother and she moved to California [1The couple lived there for a year before finally arriving in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 years old when she began to take an interest in acting, photography and singing. Breckenridge moved back to Los Angeles with the help of her mother , who was 15.
